The County Board is seeking expressions of interest from Athletes and Coaches for the upcoming Track and Field National League Campaign. Following on from last years’ success we are looking to build on that and encourage athletes to come on board this season. Please note if your club are taking part in the league you are not eligible to compete for the County.

This competition is a wonderful opportunity for athletes to come together and represent their County in a competitive and enjoyable format. There are two rounds of the league where points are accumulated across each event and those with the highest points throughout the day are determined the National League Champions!

This competition is open to Athletes over 16 years of age on the day of competition (Athletes in the throwing events must be 18 years or older by the 31^st December 2025). Should you wish to be included in this year’s County Men’s team please get in touch by emailing sharoncantwell02@gmail.com. Athletes are welcome to put themselves forward for a couple of events: i.e. Javelin, Shot, Discuss. 200m, 400m 4x400m etc. The Team Managers will then select athlete’s based on their performances to part-take on the team. We will need athletes for the 4x100m and 4x400m relay team panel also.

Closing Date for Expressions of Interest is Sunday 1^st of June 2025.

With a team, there is a big undertaken to ensure everything goes smoothly in terms of declarations, training meet-ups and logistics. We are also encouraging support in the form of Team Managers, if this is something you are interested in getting involved with please put yourself forward, I would be delighted to hear from you.
