The first weeks of June saw Waterford host the Munster U13-U14 Juvenile T&F Championships results and then the Munster U14-U19 Juvenile T&F Championships results
Both championships saw Tipperary athletes win lots of medals with a few golds and the odd record.

However, for a club more famed for track and road titles over the years, it was their field juveniles who shone this weekend. The consistent Cara Ryan came away with three Munster titles, a Championship Record, and a well-deserved Munster Star Award. She got her weekend off to the perfect start on Saturday, winning the 3kg Shot Put with a superb throw of 14.61m, setting a new Championship Record in the process. There was little time to celebrate as she quickly changed into her spikes for her first-ever competitive 100m Hurdles. New to the event, Cara produced an outstanding run of 14.46 seconds to claim her second gold medal of the weekend. Then Cara completed a remarkable treble by winning the Long Jump with a strong leap of 5.72m. Albert Maher Dundrum AC put all his eggs in one basket running the 3000m on Sunday and what a great race he ran, winning the U16 gold medal, his first Munster track title, in a time of 9:45 and he now also qualifies for the All Ireland in Tullamore. Also, his clubmate Julie Morrissey claimed the U14 Long Jump with her final jump of 4.35m.

There was many other medal winning performances, PBs from other Tipperary athletes at all these championships – too numerous to count which is a good complaint. Great credit to these athletes, their club coaches and their parents for keeping them trained and motivated.
