At last Friday’s Tipperary Athletics AGM, the County Board expressed its sincere gratitude to Eibhlis Purcell Moyne Athletic Club for her numerous years of service. From her stint as PRO to her most recent role as Juvenile XC Secretary, Eibhlis has been a constant, driving force behind the scenes.
It is the tireless commitment of people like Eibhlis that ensures athletics in our county doesn’t just function, but thrives.
However, to keep this momentum going, we need fresh energy and new perspectives.
Why We Need You 😊
To progress Tipperary Athletics to the next level, we are appealing to members, parents, and supporters to get involved at an administrative level. By joining the board or a sub-committee, you can help us deliver on:
Modernising Competitions: Implementing new initiatives for running competition that enhance the enjoyment, competition and of course for smoother race days.
Athlete Development: Expanding our reach to ensure the next generation of athletes has the best possible start and stay in our sport. Looking for coaches to come on board to deliver training in their area of expertise ad hoc at group Development sessions which sre proving to be successful.
Club Support: Strengthening the links between the County Board and local clubs to share resources effectively and collaborate on training days, open sports, workshops etc.
Future Sustainability: Ensuring that the workload is shared so our sport remains vibrant for years to come.
”Many hands make light work.” There are a number of officer positions that need filling and we are appealing to those who are willing to give a small bit of their time to support the functioning of the County Board to reach out. 💙💛
